society of wildlife artists exhibition & update

I was very pleased to learn that my two miniatures (above) have been accepted into the SWLA exhibition 'The Natural Eye'. They can be seen, along with a host of wonderful wildlife art from the UK and overseas at the Mall Galleries in London from September 22nd - October 2nd. This is considered a fantastic show to visit whether you are an artist, collector or simply love wildlife and is one of the foremost events in the UK wildlife art calendar:
'Through art, the Society actively seeks not only to generate an appreciation of and enthusiasm for the natural world, but also to advance the interest, education and concern of the public in the conservation of wildlife. In pursuit of these objectives the SWLA undertakes various activities to support and promote arts based objectives of other conservation and wildlife charities.'

Katherine Tyrrell was at last year's exhibition and you can see her review and photos at Making a Mark.

Below an update from the bigger easel - some little snippets of a new 20" x 28" commissioned piece which I will be able to show in its entirety next year.

Dear Tracy,
Congratulation~~~s!! Really a cute commissioned work. ALL your work is so pretty and beautiful. I love the spirit of the quotation. Hip, hip, hurray, hurray, Tracy! Speak loud for the voiceless animals.
Kind regards, Sadami

Congratulations Tracy! Both have such interesting compositions. Love the wave in "Redshank", and red roof and wall texture in House Sparrows, not to mention the great bird art!

Interesting commission piece too, and so large!

Incredible work, Tracy! I have seen the little sparrow and rusted roof painting and love it. Both are surely deserving of the honour!

I am not surprised your work has been accepted - it is out-standing. Escpecially the way you have captured the sea with the smooth stones in the foreground.
