Komodo Dragon © Tracy Hall 2010
2" x 3" watercolour on board (shown enlarged with a penny for scale)
I think this one is pretty well finished now, save a few tweaks here and there. Because he kept getting put to one side while I had to get on with larger work, its seems to have taken ages and I just can't see it properly now - so I've hung him out of the way until I can come back with fresh eyes!
Meanwhile I was delighted to find out today that my Redshank painting (below) won an award at the Parklane Miniature Show in the US. Many thanks to the judges and the Gallery, who put so much effort into this terrific exhibition.

Tracy,
The detail you produce is fascinating. Love what you do with the brush.
Tracy - They are both excellent paintings. Congratulations on a well deserved award!
Lovely once again Tracy, and congrats on the award. Anyone who has seen your work up close would not be surprised though :)
Tracy, the Komodo came out great, and special congratulations for the award for "Redshank"! It was one of my personal favorites in the Parklane show.
The dragon is absolutely beautiful Tracy and congratulations on your award - you are so very deserving - your work is inspiring!!!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments - still not sure the komodo is done though!
Fabulous, as usual Tracy. That dragon guy is soooo real. I can see why your "Redshank" was a winner. The movement of the water is just amazing.
Congratulations on your award. Well deserved I might add. Your work is amazing. All the best to you.
Congratulations Tracy on the great news!
Congratulation on your award!! And I love the way you've rendered the scales on your dragon - such perfect texture.
