A new miniature just finished of one of my favourite birds, the grey heron. Although we usually only see one or two at a time on the beach here, there were six roosting on the cliff top a few weeks ago. I love the way they arrange their necks :) Below is a snippet of a new licensing illustration as well; I'll show it in full later in the year, but its pretty busy.

These are both excellent, Tracy. The Heron is beautifully lit and glowing. Lots of nice detail in the Barn sale.
Gorgeous heron, Tracy. And, of course I love the puzzle. Will come back to it after the Super Bowl and peruse the whole thing to find all your little "treasures".
Beautiful as usual Tracy. Herons are one of my favourites and you inspire me to try one :) Heaven knows how you think of all the intricate bits of the puzzles - a whole different talent!
I LOVE the background for the heron. It just adds enough atmosphere without overwhelming it. I always have difficulties with backgrounds ;o)
Just stunning Tracy, your colours are so subtle. Thanks for stopping by my blog)
Barn Sale is certainly an ambitious work of art. Very well done.
Love the Heron.
Tracy, these are beautiful. We have blue herons here. They are such magnificent birds, and so graceful, despite the fact that they have such a huge wingspan. I'd be pretty clumsy if you strapped wings that size onto me, I'm sure.
Thanks Michelle and Mollie :)
Look forward to seeing a heron from you lesley! Its a completely different mindset doing the jigsaw paintings for sure.
Glad you like it Gillian - I don't want to tell you how many layers are in that background!
Thanks too Sam, Gary and Deb :)
Beautiful heron, the lighting is superb in it.
Barn sale...the patience you have to draw all this out is amazing. It is busy indeed.
Your heron is lovely, I'm amazed at the amount of detail in such a small piece. I agree with Sam and love the subtle colors. You have amazing talent.
Wow......all that detail...great job:) I love the Heron painting:))
Thanks so much Jeanette, Crystal and Karen, really pleased you like it.
Complimenti, e' un piacere guardare i tuoi dipinti, sei davvero bravissima!
